Mantra Machine Biography
With strong roots in psychedelic rock, three-man formation Mantra Machine creates instrumental jams and soundtracks. A dynamic mix of heavy guitars, fuzzing bass and grooving drums immersed in layered synth soundscapes.
The band hit the ground running in 2012 during their debut at the Sonic Rock Solstice festival in England and quickly released a first EP Stage One. Two years later the full-length record Nitrogen was released.
In 2016 an invitation for the Roadburn Festival followed, they played at Yellowstock in Belgium and did a mini tour through Germany and Austria.
In 2019 a second album Heliosphere was released on which the instrumental journey into the unknown continues with room for new sounds, drawn-out compositions and unexpected turns. Both albums received many positive reviews and were picked up worldwide by various blogs and music sites.
With Selwyn Slop as a new bassplayer onboard, currently the bands main focus is playing live and creating material for a new upcoming third album.
Members:
Paul Geerts: guitars and synths
Jeroen Schippers: drums and samples
Selwyn Slop: bass
