Dvořák: Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”
Dvořák’s gift to America in 1893 was nothing less than a symphonic sound we could call our own. Guest Conductor David Danzmayr makes his GTMF debut with the highly influential “New World” Symphony and a performance of co-commissioned work for Third Coast Percussion by Clarice Assad called “Play!” that is about “finding awe in the little things.”

Grand Teton Music Festival Biography
The Grand Teton Music Festival has been bringing the finest in classical music to the valley of Jackson Hole since 1962. From its humble beginnings in a canvas tent at the base of Rendezvous Mountain, the Festival has grown into one of the nation’s finest music festivals. The Grand Teton Music Festival encompasses a summer season (July & August), and a winter concert series that take place in the acoustically-acclaimed Walk Festival Hall, as well as comprehensive education programs that reach the entire community. The glory of the festival is the extraordinary group of musicians who make their way every year to Jackson Hole to come together as the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, under the visionary leadership of Maestro Donald Runnicles.
