Detroit rappers Demko and Lex the Radical completely take over Jabs Gym at 1150 Hilton rd. in Ferndale, MI on May 18th at 7pm for the first annual Jabs Gym Summer Jam! What's our story? We're three friends from high school who grew up rapping together. Today, we have each carved out our own lanes within Hip-Hop; two of us have careers as independent artists, and the other as a music marketer and manager. We aim to start a new movement of music in Detroit, one where independent artists are empowered and in control. This event is step one. We believe that it's our turn to contribute and give Detroit a different kind of music experience, an immersive Hip-Hop show hosted in a real boxing gym owned by a professional boxer from Detroit. Our goal is to grow this show each year with more opportunities for independents in Detroit’s music scene, both on and off stage. With summer around the corner, we have invited some of the hottest rising fashion brands in Detroit to sell their new styles before the season begins. Derek Demko, Alex Allen, and Michael Reiber are hosting the Jabs Gym Summer Jam, and by buying a ticket you will be supporting independent artists growing careers that they’ve built themselves.
