Join Turkish composer, guitarist and Berklee professor Alper Tuzcu for the presentation of songs from his upcoming new album El Jardín featuring Catalan cellist and singer Queralt Giralt from Barcelona.

This performance will feature Tuzcu's compositions inspired from some of his favorite poets and artists including Nazım Hikmet, Astor Piazzolla, Gongora, Komitas and Ibrahim Maalouf, as well as songs from the Mediterranean world and beyond.

Alper Tuzcu Biography
Tuzcu's first album “Between 12 Waters” was released through Palma Records In 2016. Critically acclaimed by the media around the world including United States, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Turkey, the album, which consists of 12 songs influenced from 12 different cultures.
In 2014 and 2015, Mr. Tuzcu was invited twice to record with multiple GRAMMY winning composer, producer, and flamenco virtuoso Javier Limon (Buika, Paco de Lucia, Mariza, Wynton Marsalis, Bebo & Chucho Valdes). Moreover, in 2012 and 2013, he has starred at one of the most distinguished music festivals in the world, Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy.
Tuzcu also expanded his music career with duo project Ark by touring in Spain and United States and releasing their 2016 debut EP: "Lately". The duo was not only widely featured in local American media, including the Emmy nominated "502 Sessions" at Dedham TV and WEMF FM; but also on international media as well. The duo has been performing at venues such as Hard Rock Cafe Boston, Sidewalk in New York and YouBloom Festival in Los Angeles. Additionally, as a solo artist Tuzcu has performed in events such as “Boston Turkish Cultural Festival” at Institute of Contemporary Art-Boston, Goethe-Institut Boston and Multicultural Center Cambridge.
