Scarlette Fever Biography

Acclaimed in the UK media from the tabloid pop pages to the teen press, from Curve Magazine to a brace of prestigious appearances on the BBC Radio 2 playlist, Scarlette is constantly looking to expand her musical horizons and her eclectic and infectious music is all the better for it.

After touring with Mike and The Mechanics, Scarlette was aptly dubbed as ‘Janis Joplin without the crack’. Her raw, honest rocky performances are a treat not to be missed.

“We have fluffy pop princesses aplenty, so it’s about time we had a proper rock chick,” cooed Star magazine of that first collection. BBC Radio 2 contracted Fever, too, moved to put her on the playlist not once but twice B listed, with her debut single Crash & Burn and again with Elated. Press followed in the likes of the Daily Mirror, Daily Star, Music Week, NME and Curve Magazine, all of which helped Scarlette to land tour supports with artists like Roachford, Caro Emerald, Robbie Williams, Ollie Murs, Lisa Stansfield and Mike & The Mechanics playing at some of the best venues across the UK including The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Hammersmith Apollo. Scarlette has also appeared at countless festivals and Pride events across Europe including, The Isle of Wight Festival, Manchester Pride, Beautiful Days and Copenhagen Pride but for Scarlette, the highlight of her career to date is having co-written with the late John Barry and being asked to record his last co-write with longtime collaborator Don Black.

But “rock chick” is just one of many musical roles Scarlette Fever fills. For a start, Crash & Burn was not just a press and radio favorite, it won a place in Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart across the Atlantic, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Lady Gaga and Calvin Harris. That paved the way for those US visits, thanks to which half of her online fan base is now in the US.

On repeat visits over the last few years LA and Nashville, Scarlette has worked with some extraordinary musicians, writers and producers, charmed countless industry executives and played at the Hard Rock Café in Hollywood, the legendary Viper Room on Sunset Strip, the iconic Bluebird Café & 2 Old Hippies in Nashville.
