About this concert
Dit jaar maakt de Hitklup een muzikale wereldreis. Presentator Leo Blokhuis neemt je mee naar San Francisco, New York en Las Vegas, maar ook Londen, Barcelona en Parijs. De uitgebreide band onder leiding van Jan Robijns begeleidt onder andere Anneke van Giersbergen, Beatrice van der Poel, Blackbird, Eric Corton, Irene Jansen, Monique Kleman, Mieke Stemerdink, Martin van der Starre, Jim de Groot, René van Kooten, Ricky Koole, Rayan Panday en Thijs Boontjes. Ook Sofie Winterson en Cato van Dijck zullen erbij zijn, dus kom ook en zing gezellig mee. Na afloop is er nog de mogelijkheid om te dansen met muziek verzorgd door dj Vandermeulen.

Great singer! Surpising arrangements of well known rock classics. Anneke had shortly lost both her parents and still dis a great show. Lots of respect for her and wish her strength in coping with her loss.

Anneke van Giersbergen Biography
After thirteen years as the front woman for melancholic metallers, The Gathering, Anneke van Giersbergen struck out on her own in 2007. Since then, her creativity has known no bounds. Anneke quickly solidified a successful solo career (initially under the moniker Agua de Annique), and has recorded and performed with Canadian metal genius Devin Townsend multiple times. She has also lent her serene yet powerful voice to the likes of: Anathema, Icelandic folk group Árstíðir, Within Temptation, Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen, Amorphis, and prog legend John Wetton.
