Josh Cunningham Biography
Josh Cunningham is a founding member of Australian folk/roots faves "The Waifs".
In May 2021, he released the ARIA-nominated album "The Song Club" with Felicity Urquhart which debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Country Album Charts. The duo's second album, "Birdsong" swept the 2024 Golden Guitar Awards in both nominations and top category wins, taking out Traditional Country Album of the Year, plus Song of the Year, and Single of the Year for album track “Size Up.”
Known for their uncontrived music and authenticity, Felicity and Josh “engage the audience so warmly that everyone in the room feels like a friend by the end,” (Tim Freedman, The Whitlams). The duo’s down to earth style is the magnet that continues to attract new followers, proving the most meaningful connections are made without pretence or gimmicks.
