Alissa Musto Biography
Alissa Musto is a proud "second-generation dueler" and grew up engulfed in the world of piano bars and dueling pianos--proudly teaching her Kindergarten classmates some of the cruder bits and call-downs she picked up from listening to her father, Billy Musto, practice at home. Despite studying something completely different in college---politics, she started her first piano bar gigs at 18 and has spent the past 10 years entertaining audiences around the country and world via cruise ships, resorts, casinos, convention centers, concert venues, sporting events and piano bars.
She has been featured in publications like Conde Nast Traveler, The Washington Post, Reader's Digest, Refinery29 and Insider, as well as on NBC, ABC and FOX affiliates. In 2016, Alissa was crowned Miss Massachusetts and placed as a finalist in the 2017 Miss America pageant. With the scholarship money she earned from the Miss America Organization and additional scholarships awarded by the University of Miami, she went on to earn her Master of Music in Music Business & Entertainment Industries from the Frost School of Music, was published in the national Music Business Journal for her research on copyright law and last year was honored as a University of Miami 30 Under 30.
Alissa's original music has been been described as “hauntingly beautiful”, “captivating”, “poignant, authentic” and “the millennial ballad of the century”, while she has been praised as a “jazzy-folk songwriting genius” and “your generation’s Billy Joel". In addition to being a musician and performer, Alissa works as a signed model and actress. She has appeared in over 40 campaigns for clients like Delta, Jerome Alexander Cosmetics, Healthcare.Gov, Marriott International and US Border Control and Customs and was a contestant on Season 1 of "We Are Family" on FOX and "Snake in the Grass" on USA Network.
Alissa is a strong supporter, volunteer and advocate for music education initiatives, working with several different non-profit organizations and starting music programs in at-risk communities.
