Matt LeFait Music Biography
Meet Matt, a devoted follower of Jesus, a loving Husband, and a dedicated Father. His passion for music started at a young age, performing gospel songs alongside his two sisters in various churches from the age of 5.
As he grew older, Matt's musical journey blossomed. In his teens, he led worship at his home church and formed a band called "Rekoncyle," which went on to become a somewhat successful musical endeavor. With Rekoncyle, Matt penned all the songs for the band's two full-length albums and a worship project. They performed regularly in churches, festivals, and even toured across the Maritime provinces to Ontario, and played Soulfest in NH USA garnering accolades like an MGMA for "Band Of The Year" and nominations for an ECMA.
In 2018, Matt decided to take a new direction, placing a stronger focus on ministry. His solo career began with the release of the single "Victory," co-written with N.B. hip-hop artist One8Tea, which earned a Canadian Covenant award nomination.
Now, Matt channels his passion into the CCM/Worship genre and actively serves as a worship leader and youth music director at his home church, Kings Church. He shares his music and ministry fervor on social media, consistently writing and releasing new songs. Through his music, Matt's objective is to draw listeners closer to Jesus, foster deeper connections among people, and inspire them to step out of their comfort zones, embracing the divine plan God has in store for their lives.
This is only the beginning of his inspiring musical journey!
