Wunderpus Biography
The 8-legged shape-shifting band, Wunderpus, was created by emotive mezzo-soprano power vocalist/lyricist/songwriter, Amie Bishop. Located in central Arkansas, the four hind legs of the beasts rhythm section is comprised of Darin Williams on drums and Dan Schoultz on bass. Accompanying them, is the absolute, pure, and intricate sounds of Matt Stone on lead guitar. Amie & Matt met while improvising on a tiny stage the size of a wooden pallet in 2009. Amie Bishop’s “Barracuda” music video has been awarded a spot on “Cover Nation’s” Youtube Channel(operated by Warner Music Group). And was featured May 2023 on Pandora’s AMP Editorial “Fresh Cuts” Playlist.
