Featuring a fantastic line-up, the Great Edinburgh May Day Cabaret is a celebration of International Workers’ Day.
Performers include award-winning poet, playwright and performer, Hannah Lavery, comedians Vladimir McTavish and Susan Morrison; songwriter and musician, Calum Baird; musician Elsie MacDonald and; and musician and producer, Tobias Thiele (Germany). Hosted by the second best poet out of Ayrshire, Jim Monaghan.

Calum Baird Biography
Calum Baird is an emerging Scottish indie-folk singer-songwriter and musician featured on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland, and is tipped for 2024 by Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music). Calum’s music is characterised by its honesty and authenticity, with lyrics that are often introspective and personal. His songs explore social commentary, modern life, relationships, alienation and social change. Calum’s influences include Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Dick Gaughan, Billy Bragg, Phoebe Bridgers and Phil Ochs.
