Award-winning songwriter Ash Taylor will share the professional tips and techniques that took her from sleeping in her car to crafting songs recorded by artists including Big Smo, Ryan Larkins, Noah Smith, and Johnny Hiland and performing in some of Nashville’s most prestigious venues, including the Bluebird Cafe and the Listening Room. Whether you’ve written one song or a thousand, this jam-packed, two-hour masterclass can help you improve your songs and build your songwriting career.

It has been said by many that Ash Taylor is the most hardworking, down-to-earth girl that you may ever meet. While growing up in Bakersfield, California, her developing interest in the music industry led to a friendship with hit songwriter Clay Mills (“Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”) and inspired a life-changing decision. She sold everything she owned, jumped on a plane, and moved across the country to pursue her dreams in Nashville.
Ash began crafting her career one stage and one fan at a time. Her journey took her from long nights playing in Nashville’s lower Broadway honky-tonks and touring the country playing bars to working consistently in the writing rooms on Music Row and having her songs recorded by multiple artists.
Ash’s 2019 debut EP, Bakersfield, rose to #60 on the iTunes Top 100 Country Albums Chart with positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The Bakersfield Country Music Awards honored her achievements and contributions to the famous Bakersfield sound. She was named “One to Watch” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International and won an international songwriting award in 2021. Her 2023 three-song acoustic EP, The Acoustic Sessions, quickly became a fan favorite, and she appeared in multiple episodes of the hit television series Nashville on CMT Network.

Growing Up In Her Hometown Of Bakersfield, California She Was Heavily Influenced By Artists Like Buck Owens, Loretta Lynn, Brandy Clark, And Gretchen Wilson. After Her Growing Interest In The Music Industry Led To A Friendship With Hit Songwriter Clay Mills (“Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” By Darius Rucker), She Made A Difficult And Life-Changing Decision To Sell Everything She Owned, Jump On A Plane, And Move Across The Country To Nashvile, Tennessee To Pursue Her Dreams.
