'OH, IT’S A CRASH...’

After a car accident on a Belgian highway, singer-songwriter Ruben Brems (ex- Jack Vamp & The Castle of Creep, Desmond Dandies) decides to stop killing time and work on a new project called Franco Champs. Recruiting befriended musicians Cédric Tielemans (Kookaburra), Daan Michiels (ex-Karwats) and Tim Leenards (Desmond Dandies) to form a Belgian underground ‘superband’.

The foursome jokes around with slacker rock and jangle pop, with a nostalgic wink towards the sound of late 90s alt-rock. All this while writing in an always honest and delicate manner. As a result of the crash, one can find recurring references to time and a sense of reality in between songs.

A debut single will be released on december 17, closely followed by an EP in late 2024. So fasten your seatbelt, keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. We’ll come across each other faster than ever.
