LEOPOLD is a gender-fluid singer, songwriter, performer and activist from Berlin –
and one of Europe's most-booked queer pop artists.
He already played a lot of international shows including the Pride festivals in
Copenhagen, Zurich, Prague, Antwerpen, Madeira, Berlin, Munich and Cologne as
well as Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg, Bochum Total, Superbloom, the Berlin
International Film Festival Berlinale and Sziget Festival Budapest among many
others.
His music is best described as Queer Power Pop. LEOPOLD’s live shows are highly
energetic, vibrant and full of stage presence.
Impressed with and influenced by the work of artists such as David Bowie, Lady
Gaga, Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin, his songs have a wide musical range and
always come with a personal message.
LEOPOLD constantly uses his voice to raise awareness for marginalised groups and
fight discrimination against LGBTQIA+, end the stigma of AIDS and HIV, helps to
amplify voices of BIPoC, supports refugees and all those who are not being heard
loud enough these days. The artist also supports groups for climate action such as
Fridays for Future.
TikTok Germany chose his songs 'Paradise' and 'Pink Rebel' to be the official
soundtracks to their Pride campaigns in 2020 and 2021. More than 157,000 people
follow the artist on the app. With his song 'Girlfriend', LEOPOLD achieved #9 of the
official TikTok charts in the GSA region.
In 2022 the artist won the primetime music TV show All Together Now in Germany.
After the debut album 'Unattractive', three EPs, numerous singles, music videos,
radio features and TV appearances, the artist recently released the singles 'Love Is
No Utopia' - a song to celebrate peace, love, equality and the empowerment of queer
people, and 'We're Burning' - an eclectic hyperpop anthem as an appeal to fight
climate crisis.
