Hawthorne (the band) Biography

Hawthorne is an Indie-Americana band based in New York City. Singer-songwriters Nat Osborn and Aimee Bayles, along with cellist Karna Ray and other accompanists, weave melancholic vocal harmonies with contemporary folk melodies and unique instrumentation.

Traces of folk legends such as Gillian Welch/Dave Rawlings, Patty Griffin and Alison Krauss are found and reimagined in the Hawthorne sound.

Hawthorne recorded their eponymous debut album in 2016. They are in the process of recording a new album of songs to be released in 2022.

Their upcoming single “Are We” from this new collection is produced by Kiyoshi Matsuyama and signals a future-facing new direction for the band.
