Songwriter rounds offer an up close and personal chance to hear the stories that shape a song, then hear it performed in an intimate, solo acoustic listening room format. The songwriters share songs in turn, so often the song choices follow from a theme that arises from the writers’ interactions. Mike, a self-taught pianist and vocalist, began writing songs as early as 15 years old. His first love is baseball, which led him to Eastern Tennessee to attend college at Lincoln Memorial University. This is where Mike found his true passion of Country Music. Mike is playing some of the hottest venues in the Bay Area with his band “Mike Drew Band” in 2024, outlined on his website www.mikedrewband.com. MARTHA GROVES PERRY is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in San Francisco, California. Her original music has a straightforward, compelling and sometimes edgy clarity. Her penetrating lyrics reflect the fearless truth-telling and unbothered amusement of a seasoned, female point of view.
