1st I'm an old man physically.. but 18 years young in my mind... been in Austin since 1975 so seen my share of awesome shows at awesome venues Springstein at Erwin Center .,,,Papa John Creech at Armadillo Doug Sahm at original Soap Creek on and on Cody never dissappoints... a true Journeyman god gifted entertainer..still has fun doing what he does and his music sooths my soul.. and lets me journey to my happy place...The venue was old style casual ,friendly, peaceful.. shaded...no sticker burrs.. a quick dousing of Deet cured the bug issues.. slight breeze to reassure the psyche that Texas is Texas ..hot but go with the flow and all is well..so ty Marble Falls for a throw back to simpler times.. fun....friendly awesomeness We will be back and God bless CC and the departed in the next chapter of their journey

Cody Canada and The Departed Biography
Cody Canada was the lead singer/songwriter of the Oklahoma- based rock-country band Cross Canadian Ragweed from their inception in 1998 to their dissolution in 2010. In that time they sold over a million albums.
Cody Canada has returned to vintage Cross Canadian form, seizing the opportunity to take the lead of his four-piece band, The Departed, with a newly energized inspiration to get back to his roots. The time he spent pursuing new creative paths with the Departed was a blessing, allowing him time to develop a rejuvenated appreciation for Ragweed’s legendary body of work and the connections it made with fans.
“Canada is back...a bigger, bolder, boomier version of the sound [he’s] been creating for roughly two decades.”
Rolling Stone Country
“Hippielovepunk by Cody Canada and the Departed is at-out-stand-up-full-tilt-badass- realass-coolass-unmatchedass rock and roll.” Ray Wylie Hubbard
