MJ Dardar Biography
MJ Dardar is an American singer-songwriter whose sound is notable for combining rhythm/blues and country/soul. His voice has a distinctive soulful-grit paired with powerful control. MJ’s songwriting is rooted in personal, honest experiences. MJ contributes his musical influences to such talents as Wilson Pickett, Don Henley, Jonny Lang, Sam Cooke, Bear Rinehardt, Clay Crosse, and Jeffery Gaines.
His first original EP, RUST, was released in April of 2021. Gaining speedy recognition, RUST received over thirty thousand listens amongst all streaming platforms within the first six weeks of its release and those numbers continue to grow. MJ's sophomore record is set to be released the summer of 2022, with the first single being released in May.
Throughout the course of his musical career, MJ not only drew the opportunity to tour with national acts such as Nashville’s very own “Framing Hanley”, he has also been an opener for other notable artists such as Hoobastank, The Veer Union, 12 Stones, Sevendust, Meriwether, Fuel, Little Texas, Tanya Tucker, John Michael Montgomery, and Joe Nichols, and more.
