After three years of dedicated work, Ayda Rose unveiled her debut project in the Summer of 2023, introducing her first single, ‘Psychic’.

Known for her contributions under the alias ‘Effie’ in recent years, she decided to enter a new era, choosing to release her upcoming project under the name ‘Ayda Rose’. Ayda Rose holds deep personal significance, representing a lineage of powerful women. While making a significant impact in the dance scene under the pseudonym Effie, collaborating with artists like Mella Dee and FOOR, and establishing herself backing vocalist for a healthy roster of artists including the UK’s very own power house Becky Hill, Ayda Rose is now poised to emerge as an artist in her own right.

Beyond her contributions as an artist, Ayda Rose has been steadily building her profile as a songwriter. In 2022, she played part in Stormzy's album ‘This Is What I Mean’, co-writing and vocal arranging the track ‘Please’.

Ayda Rose's distinct voice, coupled with soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics, results in a unique sound. Drawing inspiration from artists like SZA, Amy Winehouse, and Stevie Wonder, she seamlessly blends her love for soul with urban electronic sounds.

In her most honest project to date, Ayda Rose wanted to keep her circle close and collaborated closely with renowned artist ‘Switch’ (of Major Laser) and artist-songwriter Cameron Bloomfield. Describing the project as "soulful with a modern twist, both old school and contemporary," Ayda explores themes of real-life love and heartbreak throughout every song.

Earning recognition from notable magazines such as ‘Clash’ and ‘Notion’, Ayda Rose has performed both on home soil and stateside, showcasing her unwavering commitment to her art. With her next single, ‘Damn’, set for release on Valentine's Day 2024, and a series of live shows scheduled for the year ahead, Ayda Rose is undeniably making her mark and has no intention of slowing down.
