Crohm

CROHM (CR?HM) is the first Heavy Metal band from the Aosta Valley, autonomous region in the Alps in the North West of Italy. Music and lyrics deal with human nature in its infinite meanders, from the darkest to the brightest.

1985-1988: CR?HM is formed in the spirit of NBWOHM in the autumn of 1985 and debuts with the song “Quake” on February 5th of 1986 with Zac Zanchetta on guitar, Riccardo Taraglio on bass and Sergio Fiorani as the lead singer.
From 1986 to 1988, CR?HM performs throughout the Aosta valley while collaborating and they record the songs “Quake” and “A Long Day Begun” that are included on the album “AO0002”. In June 1987, they also record a live performance on cassette tape, of which only 2 copies exist.

2014: Twenty-six years later, in May, they reunite for the event “Questi Anni: Ottantavoglia di rivederci” and the original line-up manages to enthuse the crowd with their still lively sound, their stage presence and the arrangement of the songs... new member at drums is Fabio Cannatà. Since that day, the band has played in various events in the Aosta Valley.

2015: in May, CR?HM releases its first CD titled “LEGEND AND PROPHECY”, containing 9 “historical” songs that have been rearranged and partially rewritten. The disc includes collaborations with Vincenzo Zitello (Celtic harp and flute), Milo Molteni (violin) and Serena Constenaro (cello) and is launched on all major platforms of digital music worldwide. In June the band wins the final of the “We Wanna Rock” competition, which is held at the “Rock’n’Roll” hall in Rho (Milan) by the agency Time Machine. In November, they open the concert for the band Mägo de Oz.

2016: on February 5th the band celebrates their “Heavy Birthday” at 30 years from their debut with a concert packed with special guests. In that same period, their song “Insatiable” wins 1st place out of 133 entries in the Single Charts contest, organized by Strane Officine in collaboration with Rock’n’Roll Radio. As a result, the radio station plays the song in its programs throughout the month of March. In June they have the honour to be the first Metal band in 31 editions to close the concert cycle “Saison Culturelle 2015/16” of the Department for Education and Culture of the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta with the program “Metal Soirée” in the Splendor Theatre of Aosta, accompanied by a string orchestra with Vincenzo Zitello, conducted by Christian Thoma. Also in that period, they are the “Band of the week” of the website “PATAMU”.

2017: in March, it was released their second album “HUMANITY” with Sliptrick Records. The live concert of the release party of “HUMANITY”, was transmitted entirely by the RAI regional radio station. In April they play for the 28th edition of Tavarock. In August they perform in the “CROHM Live!” At the Roman Theater of Aosta as part of the Été au Théâtre festival organized by the Department of Education and Culture of the Valle d’Aosta Autonomous Region

2018: it is the year dedicated to live shows for the promotion of “HUMANITY” and in October they open at Folkstone for the XXIX edition of Tavarock, to then dedicate themselves to the composition of new songs for the third work “FAILURE IN THE SYSTEM” which required several months of work also in 2019, punctuated by some live shows such as the Legend Club in Milan or the Center Hibou.

2020: i10 February CROHM released his third CD "Failure in the System", the video "What is beinhd", the lyric video of the title track and announce that a track from the album will be included in a new Hollywood film production, with the director Stefano Milla.

From their reunion, they held 40 live shows held between Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy and Switzerland, sharing the stage with the bands Anewrage, Alteria, Wolfsinger, DGM, Folkstone, Mägo de Oz (E), Operation Blockhead (CH ), Frozen Swords (CH), Dee Calhoun (USA), Raven (UK), Hatchet (USA), The Cards of Paul Quinn (Saxon), Harrison Young and Koen Herfst (UK-USA-Netherland)
