Ukulele Death Squad (AUS)This dynamic seven-piece folk band with Tarantino-esque influences from Adelaide, Australia, sometimes even smash up their ukuleles on stage. Their unconventional approach to the ukulele has wowed audiences worldwide since their formation in 2017. Their eclectic music borrows from various genres: flamenco, ska, folk, jazz, pop and rock – with plenty of dark humour thrown in for good measure. They blend “hardcore” ukulele with rich vocal harmonies, thumping rhythms, outrageous solos and sensual saxophone. With a punk rock attitude and a serious demeanour, the Ukulele Death Squad embarked on a much-anticipated post-pandemic tour of Australia and Europe in 2023 with new members, new music, and the same kind of mayhem that has earned them critical acclaim. They can't wait to get back to Germany to showcase new music from their 'Baby Don't F**k With Me' EP in 2024!

Ukulele Death Squad Biography
In a world where there are at least two ukulele orchestras, this slimmer seven-piece extravaganza from the Australian badlands declare themselves to be the planets "most dangerous ukulele band." Their name more then hints the level of menace and peril contained within. Luckily for you their largely armed with several examples of the miniature, titular instrument along with their epic vocal performance, pulsing conga led rhythms and of course their big bold brass battalion ready for combat. The death squad wield their instrument's like master marksmen, hitting their target every time using their arsenal of gypsy jazz, Rnb and folk. There is a strong sense of showmanship, theatricality and raucous energy in their live shows that has gained international recognition and critical acclaim in The Adelaide & Edinburgh Fringe, WoMAD (Adelaide), WoMAD (UK), Boomtown (UK), Dranouter Festival (Belgium) to name only a few.
