Introducing Nashville's premier funk collective: Cam Gallagher & The Tasty Soul. Founded by band leader and lead tenor saxophonist Cameron Gallagher in April 2021, this ensemble boasts an exceptional lineup of musicians with extensive training and professional experience.
Each member of The Tasty Soul holds degrees in Composition and Arranging, Jazz Performance, Commercial Music Performance, and Music Business from esteemed institutions including the University of Utah, BYU, Snow College, and Belmont University. Despite their youth, these musicians possess impressive resumes, having performed at prestigious festivals like Umbria Jazz, Puerto Vallarta Jazz Festival, Croatian International Jazz Festival, Telluride Jazz Festival, and more across the USA, Mexico, Cuba, and Europe.
Under Cam's direction, the band has shared stages with Grammy-nominated and winning musicians such as Wycliffe Gordon, Randy Brecker, Victor Wooten, Chris Potter, Poncho Sanchez, and members of bands like Tower of Power, Snarky Puppy, Dave Matthews Band, and Prince. Cam himself is apprenticed to Grammy Award-winning musician Jeff Coffin.
