Jane Leo Biography
Austin based art pop duo Jane Leo unleash their next single, “Vicious One” from their sophomore album on Valentine’s Day. Following up on their raucous track “Wow,” this new song epitomizes the best of what Jane Leo has become known for: ripping guitars, dangerously alluring vocals, and undeniable hooks infused with their uniquely artistic twist and charm. “Vicious One” is written by Jane Leo, and produced by Daniel Leopold and long time collaborator Danny Reisch (Local Natives, Barns Courtney, Heartless Bastards). Jane Leo is riding high since the release of their self-titled debut album in Feb 2023: sold out residency shows, a packed SXSW, a Texas tour with The Unlikely Candidates, performing at the season 3 premiere of HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, their first nationwide US tour joining #1 alternative radio charting, electro pop rock band, Cannons, in iconic venues from The Greek Theatre to Terminal 5, 9:30 Club to Stubb’s and capping off their year at ACL Festival. Jane Leo has officially begun to reveal their neon noir, indie alt rock to the masses with no signs of slowing down. They have recently signed with Paladin Artists Booking agency. Together they are filling up the 2024 calendar starting with a Texas run with indie darlings Voxtrot, SXSW, Treefort Music Festival, and a west coast showing with Portland act, New Constellations before Jane Leo sets their sights on performing at this year's Bottle Rock Festival.
In speaking about “Vicious One,” Jane says: “This song allows me the confidence to sing about things I’ve never sung before. It’s our personal favorite. Its energy translates to the audience well. We get to dance.”
