NIIVA Biography
Bulgarian born, England raised, and now Canadian based, NIIVA has found her home with music. The singer's latest single "Friends" reached #13 on CHR after being chosen as iHeart Radio's Future Star, and KiSS RADiO's One To Watch. A taste of the forbidden apple, the track captures the sweet, familiar anticipation of friends to lovers story we all know & love. The success of “Friends” has landed NIIVA multiple editorial playlist placements on Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music, as well as multiple playlist covers. In April 2023 Amazon Music Canada also selected NIIVA as their Breakthrough Artist of the month.
The Billboard charting singer/songwriter’s debut EP, released independently, has amounted almost 3 Million streams on Spotify alone, exhibiting NIIVA's ability to weave relatable stories with conversational ease. The self-titled EP released via REVE MUSIC and all streaming services; focusing on love and relationships, and the good and bad that comes with them. NIIVA’s organic Pop melodies course through the entire EP and boasts writing credits from Terence "TEE" Lam (Drake, CHIKA), Lauren Mandel (LØLØ) and Sammy G & Bobby Brass from Kuya (Alessia Cara, Meghan Trainor), who also handled some of the incredible production of the EP along with production from Matt Beckley (Camila Cabello, Avril Lavigne), Adam Josh (Loony, Shopé), Giordan Postorino (LØLØ) and Analog In The Digital (PRETTYMUCH).
Shortly after her EP release, she notably co-wrote the record-breaking debut single “Black Mamba” for KPOP girl group aespa, featured in the girl group's 2nd mini-album "Girls", which reached No. 1 on the Billboard World Album chart, No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Delivering a sort of lyrical liquid courage in a defiant yet approachable voice, there's no mistake NIIVA's in the driver's seat.
