Learn More Here: https://andersonville.org/events/midsommarfest/ This year’s fest features more than 50 music and entertainment acts across three nights, two days and five stages. Headlinersinclude a mix of exciting newcomers and returning favorites: NNAMDÏ, Finom, Cecy Santana, Sixteen Candles, Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press and Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute. Midsommarfest is expected to bring together more than 80,000 people to celebrate Andersonville and its Swedish culture and history, organizers said. There will be artisans, vendors, food, free kids’ activities and traditional Swedish festivities, like a dance around the Maypole. Admission to the festival is a $10 suggested donation. Proceeds and beverage sales will go to the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce to support festival expenses, neighborhood events, beautification and more, organizers said. A portion of donations will also support over a dozen local nonprofits, including Peirce and Chappell elementary schools, Chicago Women’s Health Center and the Brave Space Alliance.
