Mescalito (Tahoe) Biography
Mescalito is a South Lake Tahoe based Rock n Roll band. Known for their electrifying live shows, soaring improvisation, soulful vocals, and a diverse catalog of music, each show is a fun and new experience for fans new and old alike. Featuring Tahoe locals Martin Bush, Simon Kurth, Keith Ovelmen, Lowell Wilson, and Marty Ylitalo, Mescalito has been entertaining folks with their intoxicating blend of fun covers and originals since 2016.
The band features local musicians Martin Bush (guitar/vocals), Keith Ovelmen (bass/vocals), Lowell Wilson (keys/vocals), Danny Barnes (drums), and Simon Kurth (guitar/vocals). Individually they are all long time staples of the music scene, some having toured nationally and internationally in other bands and have played festivals like the High Sierra music festival, Hardly Strictly bluegrass, Waterfront Blues and Roots festival, Wakarusa music festival, the Byron Bay Blues and Roots festival (Australia) to name a few.
