Please join us for an evening of acoustic music presenting artists from West Coast US, France & Belgium. Three folk esque singer songwriter artists bring a unique night of music to the hsitoric podium of Katharinazaal (Next to Huis Van Alijn in Ghent).
Twin Bridges (US/ Cello / Songwriter )
Twin Bridges’s melancholic aesthetic is the result of fusing classical and chamber music’s instrumentation and musicality with folk and indie-rock. The band’s music is sonically aligned with artists such as Andrew Bird, Takenobu, Kishi Bashi, and Arthur Russell. The instrumentation for Twin Bridges EU tour are Zach Gerzon on Cello, Kylie Mcdermott on Trumpet & NateNorton on French Horn. Twin Bridges songs can be described as pensive, dark and melodic.

The Duke of Norfolk (US / FR / Folk / Songwriter)
The Duke of Norfolk is the recording project of the peripatetic folk musician Adam Thomas Howard. Howard grew up in Oklahoma and was inspired early on by Irish traditional music, bluegrass music, and the London-based folktronic band Tunng. After moving to Edinburgh to study Sound Design his music began to nestle somewhere between traditional folk instrumentation and more modern electronic folk.
Howard currently resides and records in Paris.
Elemy
Elemy is the musical alias of Emily Van Overstraeten (BE).In 2020 she released her first solo EP 'The Garden'. Together with Benjamin Hermans, she worked on new compositions in 2023. Benjamin Hermans is a saxophonist active in the Belgian jazz scene. He plays a.o. with KREIS, Mos ensemble, nonsense. Elemy takes you into a dreamy darkness of spherical jazz with a dash of indie folk, with acoustic sounds and electronic samples.
