Don't miss this very special evening of music as jazz singer-songwriter Ellen Doty debuts her latest album "Every Little Scene" live with the Kensington Sinfonia string quartet along with her band.
In a fractious world, "Every Little Scene" is how to soothe your soul. It’s rest at the end of a long day and a warm cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. The inspiration behind her latest album comes from the precipice of change in Ellen’s life: she wrote and recorded much of the album while pregnant with her first child. Entering this new era, Ellen is nostalgic, introspective and filled with every emotion, which she pours into each of the 12 new, original songs.

Ellen Doty Biography
Ellen Doty is a soulful Canadian vocalist and songwriter with a world-class voice. Her music incorporates everything from jazz to soul, folk, pop and indie music: a sound that is uniquely hers.
Doty is signed to Canadian jazz label Alma Records as well as Japanese label Impartmaint Records and her latest album “Come Fall” came out on Universal Music debuting at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart. She's toured across Canada, in the states, and in Japan over the last few years including a feature performance at Tokyo Jazz Festival. She's currently writing for her next full length album.
