RAAF Biography
Lourens and Esté Rabé (Bottomless Coffee Band) originates from Cape Town, South Africa.
BCB was formed at Stellenbosch University. After completion of their studies, Lourens ventured into the corporate sector as an Investment Analyst; Esté started out as a young actress and also headed up a theatre company.
After releasing their debut album "Room With A View" in 2014, BCB became local crowd favorites for melodic storytelling and electrifying performances, inspiring the nostalgia of the folk-rock legends of yesteryear.
The successful release leads to the couple quitting their corporate careers and take their music on the road. With their diverse backgrounds from Rock ’n Roll, Theatre and Esté's Classical Singing, the duo has created something unique in modern day music. 4 albums later and BCB nowadays is an active touring band, performing +150 concerts every year throughout South Africa, Namibia and Europe.
Their latest Afrikaans album, PREDIKER is being released in three “chapters” / EP’s. Each chapter takes their music back to their roots and aims to reach new highs - moving between different genres and introducing fresh hits.
