Founders of Essential Opera, Maureen Batt and Erin Bardua create programs that tell stories, celebrate the art of singing, and set new compositional voices alongside the classics. Tonight, we will enjoy a vast range of song, from classics by Richard Strauss, Barbara Strozzi and Kurt Weill, to new Canadian works from Saman Shahi, Anna Höstman and Monica Pearce.
