The Tamworth Country music festival also saw Amber inducted into the prestigious Galaxy of Stars – alongside legends such as Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan. Amber is prolific as an artist, having released 7 studio albums and 3 children’s albums. Amber is constantly creating new music and touring this wide land of ours – she’s now about to enter the 20th year of her career, a remarkable achievement. 2022 was the biggest year of Amber’s career so far – releasing her ARIA Number 1 Country Album “Living for the Highlights”, as well as going on to receive a Best Country Album nomination at the 2022 ARIA Awards, plus 6 CMAA Golden Guitar nominations, including Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, which she won. She was also the highest selling female artist for 2023. This is a reward for the relentless touring schedule Amber undertook in 2022, performing over 90 shows Australia wide. Amber began her country music career in 2004 in Tamworth, competing in the Telstra Road to Tamworth talent quest, ultimately coming runner up to none other than Jessica Mauboy, and then returned to contest the Star Maker quest in 2005, and was a finalist that year as well, releasing her first EP soon after (‘I’ve Got the Blues’), consisting of 4 original songs that connected to the listening public and radio presenters alike. Over the years Amber has also released acclaimed music for children, via ‘The Kid’s Gone Country 1 and 2” Albums, and the enjoyable Christmas album ‘Aussie Aussie Christmas’. Amber’s music and writing style personifies everyday real-life events and emotions from love to heartache, joy to sadness, losing a loved one, chasing your dreams or being a parent, from up tempo energetic contemporary country to heartfelt ballads. Adept at performing in any environment, Amber is a headliner at some of the biggest Australian festivals and brings out her big gun band for festivals including Cruisin’ Country, Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Music Muster, CMC Rocks, a smaller band for touring and in between, solo acoustic sets. In 2017, upon request Amber penned, recorded ‘100 Year Handshake’ a song commemorating the 75th Anniversary Battle of the Coral Sea and the 100-year mate-ship and alliance between Australia and the USA. Amber performed the song in New York in from of the President of the United States, Australian Prime Minister and notable governors and dignitaries. She has also entertained the troops in Afghanistan, The Sinai and East Timor. She counts these as some of the most rewarding moments of her career. She’s performed at Carols in the Domain, Melbourne Carols and Australia Day Live at the Opera House forecourt .. some amazing achievements in her 20 year career.
