Kelley Hunt Biography
Roots R&B, Americana singer/songwriter, piano player, guitarist Kelley has always been a challenge to the music industry's penchant for easy artist definitions -- a woman who muscled her way onto the scene on her own terms with an identity steeped in blues, roots, and gospel traditions and refreshing originality. She makes music with its righteous roots intact that crosses boundaries, is at times cinematic, always open-minded and exploratory and unafraid to take on social and political issues. This is all delivered with a commanding, passionate stage presence and superior vocal, keyboard, and songwriting skills. Kelley's career includes 6 acclaimed indie releases, two singles, and her first holiday album "Winter Soulstice" which landed Nov. 2022 to wide critical acclaim: "If you’re tired of the same old stale, over-roasted chestnuts for Christmas, Kelley Hunt brings some fresh fare to the holiday table, offering up a big band, gospel/soul platter with 'Winter Soulstice'." - NO DEPRESSION Her seventh studio album is projected for a late 2023 release.
