Barrie Sorensen Biography
Barrie Sorensen is a saxophonist, jazz composer/arranger, clinician and private educator based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
One of the most versatile and in-demand saxophonists on the Canadian West Coast, he has recently performed and/or recorded with many artists, including: Sarah McLachlan, The Paperboys, Jets Overhead, Nick La Riviere and the Best Laid Plans, The Bluesland Horn Band, Cristian De La Luna, Neon Jesus, Damian Graham and the Best Guys in Town, Jens Lindemann, Attila Fias, Matt Stern, Maureen Washington, Mary Kastle, Diane Pancel, Frazey Ford, Edie Daponte, Heather Ferguson, Cities, Anthems, LelolaiCollective, the Vancouver Island Repertory Jazz Orchestra, the Midnights and is currently the big band director of The Pacific Blue Big Band of the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy
