Eldorado's presents: Lady Lyricists Songwriter Round 2 Featuring an All Female lineup of local Artists! This round will feature storytelling & music by your host Lisa Gain, Michelle Ishida & Adena Brook. They will be performing all original music except 1 cover each by a fellow female artist who has inspired them. This show will run from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. It's free, but tips are always appreciated! Eldorado's is a historic all female owned bar with great food & a passion to support local music in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus. Come out for Sunday dinner & a show! If you've not experienced a Songwriter round before it is a listening environment. It's ok to talk, but we appreciate it if no one yells over the performers (Unless you're applauding them after a song of course). Read more about the featured Artists below: Michelle Ishida is an Asian American musician and visual artist. She currently writes, sings and plays keyboards for Gathering Stars, The Repo Pilots and The Ginger Lees. Her past musical projects include Mary Adam 12, Wishyfish and The Mary Anns. Music and art have been her lifelong focus and she has formal training in classical piano and composition at Otterbein University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University for printmaking and a certificate in audio engineering from The Recording Workshop. Michelle exhibits her art and clothing under the name Tree Lady Art Prints at juried art festivals throughout Ohio. She has received grants for both art and music from The Greater Columbus Arts Council, had her own segment on HGTV's "That's Clever”, was featured on WOSU’s “Broad & High”, Columbus’ Local Waste music podcast and performed at the 2023 Music In The Round. www.michelleishida.com Lisa Gain is a critically acclaimed Columbus, Ohio-born singer-songwriter. Since 1996, she has been performing music as a solo artist all over Ohio. In the Fall of 2015, she finally formed her first band (Lisa Gain Band) formerly Lisa Gain & the Rusty Silos. The band plays a mix of popular covers as well as her Americana, Alt-Country, & Smokey Folk Rock originals. Lisa has had her music played on NPR as she was crowned the first ever Columbus Tiny desk contest winner in 2018. PBS / WOSU has used her music on many different TV shows. Lisa also won an Ohio Music Award for best Americana single for her original song "2 packs of cigarettes" in 2014. She has graced the stage at renowned venues like The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Ohio State Fair, The Columbus Arts Festival, and The Rambling House, among others. Adena's music is influenced by legendary musicians such as Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Linda Ronstadt which is evident in the emotional depth and authenticity of her songs. Her dedication has paid off in the form of a “Funds for Artist Grant” from The Greater Columbus Arts Council. This grant will help Adena fund the recording of her debut album, which promises to be a stunning showcase of her musical talents.
