About this concert
Salotto Amoroso, dat zoiets betekent als lieflijke salon, is een muziektheatrale voorstelling over het verlangen, over een zoektocht naar het goede, het ware, maar niet per se het schone. Over veel te willen in het leven, maar niet altijd te kunnen. Het hoofdpersonage, vertolkt door Tania Van Der Sanden, verwelkomt je in haar liefelijk salon, waar ze herinneringen ophaalt.
Het belooft een emotioneel geladen muzikale reis te worden, gebracht door het orkest, of als je bescheiden wil blijven, het ensemble. Ontmoet de pianist, trompettist en saxofonist, elk met hun eigen bijzondere klanken. Tussen de noten door onthult de gastvrouw haar diepste gevoelens, met speciale aandacht voor haar man, haar “Barbie”. Of nu ja, een man die ze goed heeft gekend. Waar blijft haar man? Had Barbie niet
al lang thuis moeten zijn?

Cédric Delvaux Biography
Cédric Delvaux is a versatile Belgian saxophonist who is active as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician.
He searches for innovation and explores the boundaries of his instrument by playing in ensembles with unusual formations that offer a wide spectrum of new timbres and by collaborating with composers and other art forms such as theater, visual arts, etc. Besides playing original saxophone repertoire, Cédric is an avid interpreter of transcriptions of well-known chamber music works.
