About this concert
Join us on the 28th of May at 6:30 in the auditorium for this unique event and to meet the author and musicians. John Doelman, New Hampshire resident, poet, photographer, and author of Quetico Connection, Finding Spirit in a Million Acres of Canadian Wilderness, is proud to release the companion CD for his next book, “Coming Home to Quetico” exclusively in the Manchester City Library Auditorium on May 28th.
John has shared his poetry with 11 acclaimed singer-songwriters from all over the USA who each created a song for the cd. Some will be here to perform their song live and some will perform their song via video. John will share his poetry and introduce each song with its personal story.

Kayla Farnham is an incredibly gifted performer. She sings like an angel and is a wonderful pianist. We saw her perform once before when she blessed us with some of her beautiful, original songs. This time, she did a Carole King tribute and we were again mesmerized by her amazing talent! Can’t say enough positive things about this girl! We are fans forever! Great concert!

Once upon a time, nestled away in the Quiet Corner of rural Connecticut...
A pint-sized songstress set out into the world with one vision: to inspire and heal through the transformative power of music. Decades later, Kala has performed at listening rooms across the country, garnering numerous awards and media attention, including The Rhode Island Songwriters Association Performing Songwriter Contest 2017 winner and alumni of the prestigious Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. Drawing from a classical education and a professional background in musical theater, Kala presents a hallmark reinvention of the folk tradition. Her passion for fairytales, ancient history, and storytelling draws audiences from around the country into the reinvented worlds of alternate times and places.
