Kahrin Biography
/kär-in/
I was named after my grandmother, who was also named after her grandmother. So on and so forth four generations back on the Norwegian side of my family; my mom's side.
In the 7th grade, I had to look up the meaning of my first name for a class project. I discovered "Kahrin" (usually spelled without the H) means "PURE."
I remember thinking how cool that was and not wanting to tell my friends for fear they'd think I was bragging. I've always been afraid of being misunderstood. So I kept this treasure to myself all my life, using it as a guiding light.
I want to live up to my name by living a life that embodies its meaning.
I hope you can see, hear, and feel this reflected in the music I make. I will always be honest and I will always be thinking of you, the listener, in how my music could serve your healing journey.
Right now, my intention is to write and sing to help us Remember.
