KAYYAK präsentiert mit kompletter 9köpfiger Band zum ersten Mal seine eigenen Liedern auf der Zukunftsbühne. Es ist die Züri-Premiere für den sympathischen zurückhaltenden Visionär. Aus dem Schatten von Rumpelmentor Kalabrese tritt ein sensibler Songschreiber hervor, der sich die Welt und den Groove zurechtlegt und beherzt und mutig einen eigenen Weg einschlägt. Von treibenden Hits wie „Make no Time“ bis zu hypnotischem Indie-Disco wie „Mönchhof Amour“. Züri-Grooves, die direkt ins Herz und in die Hüfte gehen. Dafür sorgen auch die Mitmusiker:innen, darunter die erfolgreichen Okvsho-Brüder Georg und Christoph Kiss und am Gesang seine Frau Xenia Lasareva. Eine grosse Rumpelnacht steht bevor, wo sogar noch Kalabrese als Gast erwartet wird und jener rockt nachher die ganze Nacht mit seinem Freund Gallo und KAYYAK die Turntables.

KAYYAK Biography
Driven by the desire to engage and express himself musically, KAYYAK moves around Zurich’s vivid nightlife with endless curiosity and excitement.
Institutions such as Club Zukunft and Kasheme have become vital foundations for many of Kay’s musical endeavours as a musician and DJ. Spaces that give him the creative freedom to plant the seeds of his dreams.
The majority of his time is dedicated to creating music. Mostly alone, but with regular visits from his friend and mentor Kalabrese and others.
Under the moniker “Arnau Obiols & KAYYAK” Kay also records songs with his Catalan brother-in-law.
Kay feels most at home to release his music with Kalabrese’s imprint “Rumpelmusig", as well as the Munich based label "Compost Records".
The debut LP “Make No Time” in collaboration with Kalabrese released in 2020 gained great popularity with A-side becoming a Rumpelhit.
From than on came the first "Arnau Obiols & KAYYAK” releases incl. Remixes by Kalabrese & MLiR on Compost Records, as well as guest appearances on Kalabrese’s Album "Let Love Rumpel Pt. II"
The newest songs "Dreaming Place", "Let Love Find Itself" & "Mönchhof Amour" came in summer on Rumpelmusig. Mönchhof Amour (ft. his wife Xenia), has become a song for the hearts in Zurich’s nightlife with crowds singing along the "Once i know i have to find my soul i’ll let you know"

We are witnessing the unfolding of a great talent here and as 2024 is on its way, so is new music and a first tour.
