WIESINGER

WIESINGER is an alternative indie pop-rock band hailing from the tranquil surroundings of Barrhead, Alberta. Formed in 2021, they're creating a musical buzz with their dynamic melodies and pertinent lyrics. Breaking down barriers, WIESINGER isn't just a band, it's an emporium of zany, feel-good music for fun-loving people. Their one-of-a-kind sound draws inspiration from popular bands like The Barenaked Ladies, Smashmouth, and Maroon 5, introducing different layers of pop rock and hints of alternative sounds from AJR and Virginia to Vegas.

Led by Justin and Chelsey, who are not only key band members but also a happily married couple and parents of two beautiful daughters, WIESINGER has managed to smoothly integrate their personal lives into their day-to-day music production. It’s evident that Justin being a volunteer firefighter, videographer, and bus driver doesn’t hold him back from his creative pursuits for a second! And don’t let Chelsey’s part time accounting job fool you either, as she is able to hold down the rhythm section with ease! Justin's powerful gift of songwriting combined with Chelsey's harmonic drum skills lavishes vibrancy in their music that can only be matched by the warmth of their live performances. They met their indigenous guitarist Daniel through mutual friends who has dozens of years experience in live performance and lead guitar playing. It doesn’t hurt that he lives in their small town area too! While losing the tip of a middle finger in an accident four years ago, it hasn’t stopped him from effortlessly continuing in his mind blowing guitar riff creations.

Their significant releases to date include the albums "Wonderlove" and "Stuck in Your Head", as well as the single "Doom Scrollers", all of which have propelled their million plus streams on Spotify alone. Their growing popularity has sealed their status as one of 2024’s breakout bands. Despite their recent formation, WIESINGER's distinctive sound and engaging performances have been met with resounding appreciation, raving reviews, and further fuelling their artistic drive.

Having started a successful grassroots artist showcase in their the town of Barrhead in 2023, along with being semi finalists in the international songwriting competition this year, WIESINGER is decimating both industry and social norms by involving youth and children to learn and grow hands on experience in the production of their new songs and music videos in 2024. With numerous performances and a spring tour already booked for 2024, as well as Throwback the Covers EP to release, it is sure to be an eventful and exhilarating year of fun for this band and their fans.
