Welcome to Highway 1 Brewing Co. We’re a family-owned craft brewery and restaurant located on the iconic Highway 1. Here, we’re dedicated to providing an authentic no-frills craft beer experience. Good beer, good people, and good vibes, that’s what we’re all about.
All are welcome at our casual coastal sanctuary. Whether you’re a Highway 1 local or an out of town traveler, once you arrive at our craft brewery you’re part of the coastal community. Our outdoor beer garden is kids & dog friendly, so feel free to bring the whole family by for a visit. Surrounded by stunning hikes, beautiful beaches, great camping, and many more coastal adventures, we encourage everyone to take full advantage of what the coast has to offer. When you’re done with your adventures, we’ll be here to pour you a cold one!

The Beer Scouts Biography
The Beer Scouts are Rob Ruiz (12 string bass/vocals), Howard Vatcher (guitar/vocals) and Kenny Susan (drums, vocals). They play straight ahead rock and roll original and cover tunes influenced by artists such as the Beatles, Brownsville Station, Cheap Trick, the Smithereens, Grand Funk Railroad, Chuck Berry and even the Monkees!
In their careers the members of the Beer Scouts have shared the stage with the biggest names in rock music, including Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Bob Dylan and many more. They have played a wide range of venues, from the Concord Pavilion to New York’s Bitter End, from hometown bars to London pubs.
The Beer Scouts are on a mission to find a few good bars in their quest to bring the fun back to rock ’n’ roll music. Their motto: “Will Rock For Beer”!
