Lenox Monroe Biography
Lenox Monroe, 21, is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller born in Indianapolis, IN, who began singing and performing in elementary school.
By middle school, Monroe had performed in dozens of musical theatre productions, collecting multiple awards for her roles on stage. In high school, Monroe began to pen her own original music because she felt something was missing. She sent the first song she ever wrote to her best friend who implored her to “keep writing and sharing, and to never stop."
Her best friend tragically passed away in a car accident in 2018.
"I knew in my heart that the only way for me to heal and honor my friend would be to write and share my music with others," said Monroe.
Monroe writes about love, loss, friendships, relationships, growing up, and growing apart. She uses her music to communicate what words alone cannot, to connect with and inspire others, and to remind them they're not alone.
Monroe has matured and refined her sound while also broadening her range of influences, citing inspiration from the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Lizzy McAlpine, Conan Gray, Taylor Swift, and Tate McRae.
Her recent single, “psychic,” is the gaining momentum and is sure to be hitting playlists and speakers well into the Summer. Learn more at https://linktr.ee/lenoxmonroe
