Über Charming Disaster: Das in New York ansässige Musikduo Charming Disaster wurde 2012 von Ellia Bisker und Jeff Morris gegründet. Inspiriert vom makabren Humor von Edward Gorey und Charles Addams, den Mordballaden der Americana-Tradition und dem dramatischen Flair des Kabaretts spielen sie verspielt düstere Originallieder, die von Tod, Kriminalität, Mythos, Magie, Wissenschaft und Okkultismus inspiriert sind.

You are invited to attend a very special house concert featuring goth-folk duo Charming Disaster on tour from NYC, hosted in the home of Derek and Claudia in Brühl, NRW.

This is a donation-based concert! Please be prepared to make an artist donation at the show in the amount of your choosing, or select the RSVP + Artist Donation option to donate in advance.

Charming Disaster Biography
Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write playfully macabre songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, folklore, science, and the occult. In their theatrical live performances, they combine vocal harmonies and clever lyrics with ukulele, guitar, and virtuosic foot percussion. Charming Disaster’s music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale;, they have opened for legendary cello-rock ensemble Rasputina, goth icon Voltaire, and punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls; and their theatrical, entertaining live performances have captivated audiences across the United States. Recent appearances include Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in NYC, Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery, the Rochester Fringe Festival, the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, VA, Cleveland's Wizbang Circus Theatre, and the Coney Island Sideshow stage.
