Hello, this is me, Cat Madden and I’m amazing. Juuuust kidding, I’m a self deprecating artist just like the rest of them… I’ve been performing live for 17 years and am lucky to now be playing with the most talented, humble and hard-working musicians in BC. With my shows, I want to use the tool I’ve spent my whole life crafting (music) to offer an honest experience that creates space for connection on an emotional level that, perhaps, our day-to-day lives may not allow. But obviously mostly I just want it sound fuckin’ wild. Luckily I can sing pretty good.. people seem to like it. Reputable music people you may care about have said that I “eloquently blur the lines between soul, rock and jazz”. I admire the heartfelt sounds of Tedeschi Trucks Band and am deeply inspired by bluesy collaborators like Bonnie Raitt. I feel emotionally connected to soulful voices of legends like Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin. I would love to compose like Elton John and blend that with the hard hitting orchestral rock sound of Radiohead. I also get down to Funkadelic and Vulfpeck too.. Anyways.. it’s pretty evident that I’m not sure what I’m doing here so if you want to know what people actually think read some reviews: "I jumped at the chance to work with Cat Madden... She genuinely shines with her craft, wit and intelligence, and it has continued to impress me (and my colleagues in the industry) greatly.” - (Mavis Harris - Nice Marmot PR) "Cat is a powerhouse singer and gifted songwriter - she blurs the line between rock, soul and jazz so eloquently.” - (Nygel Asselin - NYG Productions) "Cat's voice is like an opera singer mixed with a Husqvarna chainsaw..." - (Mike - The Gas Station) "Cat’s original songs are poignant, personal and powerful. We knew we had to have Cat and her band play the first Squamish Constellation Festival... She was fantastic.” - (Tamara Stanners - 100.5 The Peak) Thank you if you come to my shows ever. CatMaddenMusic SUMMER'S BROTHER Summer’s Brother is the clown-faced alter-ego of drummer/singer Connor Brooks. Connor has spent the better part of the past decade playing drums in the Vancouver music scene for 40 artists including Chase The Bear, Haley Blais, and Hotel Mira, touring back and forth throughout Canada, and doing session work for various other artists and producers. His newest project Summer’s Brother highlights his songwriting, which showcases unapologetic lyrical vulnerability and roaring vocals inspired by the raw energy of Queens of The Stone Age, the melodic groove of Anderson .Paak, and the unfiltered emotion of Nirvana. “Misinformation” is the debut single from Summer’s Brother, a lament on the way we all use technology, and how it uses us. Written during a psychedelic afterglow in the summer of 2020, Connor sings to the spacey R&B groove "Do you ever feel like you’re someone else?” He comments on how we are all putting on a mask to show the best version of ourselves on social media, or “spreading misinformation”, but also a tongue-and-cheek reference to how Connor himself literally puts on a mask with his clown makeup when he transforms into Summer’s Brother. “Misinformation” was recorded by two-time WCMA nominated producer Andy Schichter, mastered by Grammy winning engineer Ted Jensen (Rolling Stones, Eagles, Green Day) and was released in November of 2023. Summer's Brother Biography

Summer's Brother is an experimental project blending elements of indie pop, psychedelic rock, alternative R&B, and modern alt-rock.

Inspired by artists like Yves Tumor , David Bowie , and My Chemical Romance , Summer's Brother pushes boundaries of both people and music, blending genres while simultaneously making people uncomfortable with their makeup and outfit choices.

"Misinformation" is the debut single from Summer’s Brother, recorded by two-time WCMA-nominated producer Andy Schichter , and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Ted Jensen ( The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, Madonna ).

The sophomore single, "Make It Wit Chu" , takes the Queens of the Stone Age song and imagines it through the dreamy soundscapes of Lana Del Rey and late Arctic Monkeys , giving it a slower, darker approach, perfect for a neon-lit drive through the city at night.
