About this concert
Held on the 2nd weekend of June (regardless of whether the 1st weekend of June is a full weekend, or partial one)! Mark your calendars for three straight days of eclectic music and art, food, dancing, camping, jamming, drumming, and some of the greatest parkin’ lot pickin’ in the state. Three stages host continuous music morning to night, ranging from blues to bluegrass, country to new age, jam bands, old-time, Celtic, folk, and even a little rock. Artists offer varied original work from woodcarving to glasswork, jewelry to stonework, basket-making, fiber art, photography, and of course, the indispensable festival tie-dye. All this and more makes Nor-East’r one of Michigan’s best festival experiences. Nor-Eastr Festival is run by the AVNAF board, which is officially an 501c3.

Patty PerShayla Biography
Patty PerShayla is a rarity as a combination singer and bassist, but has established herself as a stand-out performer by also perching on one leg or strutting the stage in platform heels while fronting her power trio. Originally hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Patty and guitarist Lucas Powell played hundreds of shows and racked up thousands of miles before landing in Nashville to explore new sounds. Their EP, Perpetual Motion Machine (winner of Best Rock/Pop Album at the 2024 WYCE Jammie Awards) features riff-driven rock anthems with their signature punky blues grit and a tasteful touch of twang. Always emoting for the cheap seats and boasting a big attitude, the heart of the Mayhaps is PerShayla’s vocal delivery and her quirky, pointed lyrics, ready to call out injustice or just simply shout the big feelings away.
