About this concert
Szabo's new album 'Brave' is an emotionally powerful reflection of his struggles, showcasing his unique songwriting style influenced by artists like Dan Fogelberg and Smashing Pumpkins. The title track "Brave" progresses from a gentle acoustic tune to an epic power ballad addressing fears about one's future path. After playing in garage bands and a Chicago band, Szabo became integral to the Las Vegas music scene, performing his own music and in cover bands focused on 90s alternative rock. His recent Savannah gig was his first live show in eight years, and with radio success from singles like "Brave," he aims to book shows where he gets airplay, delivering intense, dynamic vocal performances surprising audiences.

Elliot Szabo Biography
Elliot Szabo’s personal journey has been as multidimensional and emotionally layered as his music itself. Born in a small town in Indiana, Elliot was raised by his single father. Struggling through school, Elliot dropped out of college and began his adult life working as a flight attendant in Chicago. Still and yet, Elliot and music were always involved in a sometimes-uneasy coexistence, punctuated by stints in cover bands, band breakups, and a notable bout with depression.
It was his bout with depression that yielded the single "Brave" among Elliot's most personal work. After recovering from a suicide attempt, Elliot wrote "Brave," which he describes as "a song about feeling absolutely petrified about what you're going to do with your life next." Musically and lyrically, "Brave" is at once deeply evocative and hopeful, a rich and emotionally bracing testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
Elliot makes his home in Savannah, Georgia, with his wife and son. Look out for his upcoming full-length album, to be released in January 2023.
