Le Jazzlab Orchestra porté par un idéal et un jeu résolument collectif fêtera son 20ième anniversaire sur la saison 2024-2025, bouleversant encore et encore les limites du jazz orchestral. Racontant à sa manière une multitude d’histoires musicales passionnantes, il présentera lors de ce concert, une rétrospective des pièces du répertoire qu’il a créé sur les 2 dernières décennies, plus des nouveautés. Constitué des multi-instrumentistes Annie Dominique, Claire Devlin, et Mario Allard; du trompettiste Jacques Kuba Seguin; du tromboniste Thomas Morelli-Bernard; du pianiste Félix Stussi; d’Alain Bédard à la contrebasse et du batteur Michel Lambert, le Jazzlab nous réservera comme à l’habitude, bien des surprises de toutes sortes.
The Jazzlab Orchestra, driven by an ideal and a resolutely collective approach to playing, will celebrate its 20th anniversary over the 2024-2025 season, again and again shattering the boundaries of orchestral jazz. Telling a multitude of fascinating musical stories in its own way, this concert will feature a retrospective of pieces from the repertoire it has created over the past 2 decades, plus a number of new releases. Made up of multi-instrumentalists Annie Dominique, Claire Devlin and Mario Allard; trumpeter Jacques Kuba Seguin; trombonist Thomas Morelli-Bernard; pianist Félix Stussi; Alain Bédard on double bass and drummer Michel Lambert, the Jazzlab will, as usual, with all kinds of surprises.

Claire Devlin Biography
Claire Devlin is a saxophonist and composer based in Montreal. She released her debut album, “Anyone,” in 2020. Claire is also a co-leader of the collective Bellbird, which released “Root in Tandem” in 2023. Claire performs regularly with various ensembles including the Canadian National Jazz Orchestra, the Plastic Waste Band, the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal, Rommel Ribeiro, Thus Owls, Christine Jensen’s “Equal=Orchestra”, Unessential Oils, and Tommy Crane.
