Hailing from the vibrant state of Abia in Nigeria, Johnny Webb's musical odyssey has been nothing short of remarkable. Born with a passion for melodies and a gift for storytelling, he embarked on his musical journey alongside a partner in 1999. Together, they soared through the Nigerian music scene, capturing hearts and airwaves with their singles in 2009, all while collaborating with industry luminaries like PM (now known as Password), Indomix, PerfPerfSoundz, and more.
In 2011, Johnny Webb decided to chart his path as a solo artist. This pivotal decision marked the beginning of an unwavering commitment to leave an indelible mark on the Nigerian music landscape. He made his solo debut in 2013 with the singles "Drink In Ma Cup" and "Redi," featuring Skuki, setting the stage for his solo career to flourish.
In 2015, driven by a thirst for knowledge and personal growth, Johnny Webb temporarily stepped away from the music scene to pursue a degree in business management. This hiatus allowed him to sharpen his skills and expand his horizons, preparing him for the next chapter of his career.
Webb Recordz: A New Beginning
In 2018, Johnny Webb reemerged on the music scene with renewed vigour. He founded his record label, Webb Recordz, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to nurturing emerging talent. The label's inception was marked by the release of the hit single "Human Life," featuring Lou-is, an African-American rapper from Columbus, Ohio.
