Ged Wilson Biography
Well established on the British blues scene Ged Wilson is now pushing the boundaries of the genre carrying a lifetime of influences with a real contemporary feel to a wider audience. Signed to Bad Monkey Records and supported by Help Musicians, Ged is spreading his music far and wide.
Based in Cheltenham, Ged ( that’s Jed with a G!) grew up in Manchester, a city with a great musical heritage and he carries that northern grounding wherever he goes. Influences span Lightnin’ Hopkins, Miles Davis and Bob Dylan and everything ever since oh yes!
On stage Ged creates guitar grooves, harmonica wails and from the heart vocals, spiced with a dash of laconic humour to give a full-on upbeat show.
He has toured the nation, jammed the blues clubs, hit the festivals and had two sell-out tours of France. With four solo albums and a fifth one on the way, much radio airplay, favourable reviews and so much more to come; Ged is now making his mark.
“brim-full of positive vibes, humour and innovation”
