Die Shiny Biography
A growing wave of buzz surrounds Die Shiny, the edgy electropop sensation emerging from Salt Lake City's vibrant counter-culture. Formed by songwriter/bassist Callie Crofts and drummer/audio engineer Zac Bryant, the project is a refreshingly unique commentary on the absurdity of existence and an electrifying fusion of cerebral darkness to danceable fun.
Die Shiny’s first single “Radio” emerged in 2019, followed by their 2020 debut EP “Drugs” amidst the pandemic-induced hiatus of live performances. Undeterred, Bryant pursued further education in audio engineering, and together with Crofts, they delved into the art of music production.
The duo returned to the spotlight in 2022 with their first live performances and stunned audiences with their inaugural self-produced single "Undertaker" - a sonic leap into uncharted territory that swiftly became their most-streamed fan favorite. They've since incorporated Guitarist Matt Wiley, Synth/Trumpet player Bobby St. Mute and Vocalist Julia Lowe into their live show experience, and their captivating on-stage energy has earned them opening slots for national touring acts such as Cannons, Washed Out and Mystery Skulls.
Early 2024 has seen Die Shiny grow their audience massively overnight with the release of their self-produced sophomore EP "Sex". The group wowed fans with an energy-packed release show in February, and released the first single from their upcoming EP in June.
