About this concert
Jacinta Percy & Sophia Tuv are excited to be joining musical forces to bring to you, the Wild Voice.
Since time immemorial, humans have gathered to sing and sound to celebrate, grieve, tell stories, give thanks, and pray. Intuitively, we know that gathering in this way connects us to ourselves, each other and the mystery of life.
All humans have a yearning to express themselves freely and honestly, to be heard and felt. When one chooses to release the suppressed aspects of our voice, we reveal the most intimate and powerful instrument, allowing transformation, vitality and healing to occur.
This voice and sound workshop is an invitation to explore the raw wilderness and harmonious nature that lives deep within you. It will allow you to uncover the hidden, honest beauty that lies at the heart of your unique voice and expression.
You will be gently guided to explore your voice, body, breath, and sound in a playful and non-judgemental space. That will allow you to let go of limiting beliefs and open you to the simple joy and freedom of expressing your naked, imperfect and Wild Voice.
In the Wild Voice workshop, we will explore:
Warming up the “Instrument”
Hearing Presence
Breath Practices
Intention and Prayer
Vocal Sound and Song Journeys
Vocal Meditations
Harmony, Melody and Rhythm
Tools that enable the power of voice to express its authentic and honest sound
Vocal improvisation and connecting to our creativity, playfulness and “wildness”
Connecting and experiencing the Sacred Sound Frequency of Ancient Languages
Deep Relaxation; Dreamtime Song Savasana
~ Workshop disclaimer
The Wild Voice workshop is a one-day or two-day voice and sound immersion; you must attend both days. This workshop is for all voices, with no experience necessary.
There is a limited capacity of 25 people.
This workshop is for people who feel comfortable and prepared for self-exploration in a group.
This workshop can be profoundly healing when you are open and ready to dive in. However, when you freely release your voice, you also release tension, resistance and memories stored in your body; this may cause discomfort and distress for those not ready for it.
For those who have suffered deep trauma in their lives, please contact me before you sign up for this workshop. So we can talk through your needs and ensure you have proper support.
